Women on their Way: Autumn Walkem

We met Autumn Walken this past May when she attended Minerva BC’s Learning to Lead weekend. Her magnetic warmth and thoughtful insights naturally made us think, “Wow, this girl is going places!”. Sure enough, Autumn took part in a unique program, Girls on Ice – Alaska, shortly after her weekend at Learning to Lead. We caught up with Autumn after her whirlwind trip across glacial plains.

Women on their Way: Ida Adamowicz

Ida Adamowicz is a photographer and founder of Wonderful Ida photography and videogprahy. Raised with a camera in her hand, Ida inherited her father’s creative drive and talents. When she’s not photographing Minerva’s events (where her sheer presence increases production value tenfold), she’s expanding her side hustle with additional courses and training.

Support an emerging leader in the non-profit sector

Minerva BC is currently looking for supporters of The Filomena Nalewajek Non-Profit Leadership Award, which will enable an emerging female leader in the non-profit sector to participate in Women Leading the Way™, an interactive, part-time leadership training program, in Fil’s name.

Women on their Way: Hilary Kilgour

Hilary is an alumna of Women Leading the Way™’s Cohort 1, and is currently the Innovation Manager for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. Throughout her career, Hilary has been fortunate to serve as a Director with both Me to We and Free The Children, and hold diverse leadership roles with Hootsuite, lululemon and Grouse Mountain.
We caught up with Hilary on her recent move (back) to Ottawa, and asked how she’s managed to continue living her values through career pivots in social enterprise, tech, and tourism (to name a few).
