Minerva is seeking an experienced Director of Partnerships & Development who cares deeply about inspiring and developing the current and next generation of women leaders. This role works closely with the CEO to develop and implement strategies to drive Minerva’s revenue growth, ensuring that our fundraising practices and partnership activities support the organization’s mission.
Working closely with the CEO, the Director of Partnerships & Development establishes and executes multi-year strategies to grow sustainable revenue streams (including contributed and earned income) and strengthen stakeholder engagement – with a focus on corporate partners. The Director builds partnerships and mobilizes resources to drive financial success, enabling Minerva to achieve its mission to change the face of leadership by elevating the visibility, influence, and contribution of women.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fund development, communications and stakeholder engagement plan to align with our strategic plan and annual goals.
- Direct all aspects of revenue generation including fundraising (grants, individual and corporate giving, major gifts), sponsorship (programs and events) and earned revenue (fee-based programs).
- Analyze data and evaluate progress against annual and quarterly goals, provide updates and adjust strategy with the CEO as needed.
Corporate Engagement
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit corporate prospects based on strategic fit, market potential, and alignment with Minerva’s values and objectives.
- Establish and execute sponsorship agreements that offer meaningful opportunities for partners while advancing Minerva’s mission.
- Oversee business development activities to expand partnerships with corporations, non-profit, government, and other organizations.
- Work cross-functionally to support the development and on-going stewardship of accounts and maximize corporate support across all programs and activities.
Fundraising
- Identify funding opportunities and prepare and coordinate grant applications and funding proposals.
- Manage and grow individual giving program with a focus on monthly donors and major gifts.
- Implement meaningful donor stewardship activities using technology to enhance and streamline efforts.
Marketing, Communications & Events
- Increase impact of Minerva’s storytelling, research, brand, and stakeholder relationships to position Minerva as a leader in gender equality and inclusive leadership.
- Oversee the planning and execution of events for alumni and community members including purpose, design/content, sponsorship and logistics.
People Management & Organizational Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing team by providing guidance and support, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
- Contribute to strategic planning and goal setting for the organization.
- Establish policies, practices and procedures to improve operational performance and reduce risk.
- Represent Minerva at external events and meetings; serve as a back up and proxy for the CEO as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- A relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience leading people and teams
- Experience developing and implementing fund development or revenue growth plans
- Demonstrated knowledge in fundraising, sponsorship, and business development
- Demonstrated success cultivating, securing, and growing revenue from corporate partners
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship skills
- Experience working in a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization, preferably in a non-profit or social impact organization
- Self-motivated, with a proven record of accomplishment in achieving goals
- Highly organized, systems oriented, likes using/learning technology
- Fundraising certification (CFRE) preferred
- Knowledge in gender equality, EDI, and a commitment to reconciliation

Minerva aims to pay at fair market rates compared with other non-profits of similar size and revenue in Vancouver. The expected salary range for a new hire in this role is $87,000-104,000 per year.

Minerva is seeking an experienced Program Manager who cares deeply about inspiring and developing the current and next generation of women leaders. This role contributes to Minerva’s success by designing, delivering and evaluating high-quality programs that align with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
The Programs Manager provides operational guidance and leadership for our women’s leadership programs including the Emerging Leaders Program, Women Leading the Way™, and Bloom Leadership. The Programs Manager oversees all aspects of programming for women, as well as events, workshops and initiatives that enable organizations to activate inclusion in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management
- Provide oversight and operational leadership for Minerva’s programs and initiatives, developing and executing strategies to achieve program delivery goals.
- Develop, implement and improve program systems and processes for registration, program facilitation, impact measurement and reporting, ensuring a high-quality and consistent experience for participants and program staff.
- Track and monitor program outcomes against objectives, assess program impact, and prepare/deliver program reports to internal and external audiences.
- Lead the continuous improvement of programs to ensure Minerva’s learning experiences are high-quality, relevant, and responsive to the needs of our learners and corporate partners.
Partnerships
- Identify opportunities to increase impact and revenue; develop and execute strategies in collaboration with the Business Development Manager.
- Act as key contact for program partners and stakeholders; work closely with the Business Development Manager to steward these relationships.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with program alumnae.
Marketing, Communications & Events
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to design and execute marketing strategies and activities for tuition-based programs.
- Grow awareness of Minerva’s work to attract participants and achieve program registration and revenue goals.
- Support the planning and execution of events for alumni and community members including purpose, design/content, sponsorship and logistics.
People Management & Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing team by providing guidance, coaching and feedback to employees and contractors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
- Manage contract facilitators’ schedules and ensure capacity to deliver programs and act as an alternate or back up facilitator as required.
- Provide learning and development support to facilitators to enhance skills, improve facilitation techniques, and build a professional community.
- Contribute to strategic planning and goal setting for the organization.
- Represent Minerva at external events.
Skills and Qualifications
- A relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience leading people and teams
- Experience designing, facilitating, operationalizing, and evaluating educational programs including in person and online
- Practical knowledge of human development, leadership, career education, and instructional design
- Practical experience in program marketing and participant recruitment
- Demonstrated competence in planning, organization and project management
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship skills: able to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders such as program participants, corporate partners, and sponsors
- Experience working in a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization, preferably in a non-profit or social impact organization
- Self-motivated, with a proven record of accomplishment in achieving goals
- Highly organized, systems oriented, likes using/learning technology
- Experience writing grants and proposals
